Disgraceful. You give terrible dietary advice to the American public, and you are not to be trusted. Your guidance made me fat and sick, until met a doctor at the hospital where I work who helped me lose over 100 pounds and reverse medical problems... By doing exactly the OPPOSITE of what YOU say to do! You take money from the food industry, you cowtow to THEM, not the American public. Your "science" is outdated. Get it together; people listen to you and you're helping them do all the wrong things. Coconut oil, seriously? Re... read more

AHA is spreading dark age lies about GOOD FATS

You have blood on your hands, fat both saturated and unsaturated are essential dietary proteins the body readily uses. Not once have we ever heard AHA comment on the synthetic preservatives and sweeteners the typical American diet is loaded up with today. Shame on AHA for reporting on outdated science, the science is in and fat is good. Plant oils such as olive and canola are not heat stable, coconut oil is much healthier to fry in.

This organization lacks ethics and is putting out false health claims that are affecting the lives of many. Their claims and advisories are not backed by science and are helping corporate greed. Shame on this organization for abusing its power.
