Nothing but a Dept of Propaganda. Promotes junk, processed, genetically- modified fake food while vilifying healthy fats necessary for proper neurological and vascular functioning. AHA is a big reason US with its SAD (Standard American Diet) has worst cardiac health statistics.
Thank you for a total cure for Woolf Parkinson White Syndrome - birth defect cured at age 36 - 12 Kent bundles, one a lethal pathway. Thank GOD and thank American Heart Association!
Tomorrow 2/2/18 is my 70th birthday and I'm celebrating it by supporting women's heart health by donating to American Heart Association on Wear Red Day!
What kind of "non-profit" is too good for a $1-9 donation? I have 5 kids. We work very hard for every penny we have. My daughter's school is having a fundraiser for the AHA. I went to donate $5. $5 isn't worthless and yet the site requires that I donate a min. of $10 if I'm going to donate to their cause on behalf of my daughter's school. Wtf? This organization uses images of children suffering from congenital heart disease to raise money, while less than 1% of the funds they raise go toward research to improve their lives and help us understand how to prevent these fatal defects from happening. 1 in 100 children are born with a heart defect - many require surgeries to correct, and all of them have a lifetime of at least monitoring, damaging medication, complications and morbidities. Children and adults supporting this organization deserve to know the truth.
They spread info about a diet that's not healthy.
if i see that price i will go again because I do not have such spare money! Sorry
Training centers are closing. Instructors are losing their shirts. Community organizations can no longer afford to train their people. CPR education has been destroyed by an organization that is supposed to be dedicated to increasing survival rates. Money became more important than improving patient outcomes. I’ve been an AHA instructor for many years. Now, I’m happy to say that I am an instructor for different national CPR education outlet that keeps prices affordable for our communities. This is about improving statistics,... read more
As a TC Coordinator, I can safely say that the recent changes in Heartsaver card pricing has successfully KILLED Community CPR as we knew it...Life isn’t why! GREED is why!! ECSI has a very cost saving alternative...I’m ashamed to be associated with the AHA at this point!
