No support for the profession. Trying to “help” in a crisis just costs us our jobs when this is over.
You are currently endorsing the training on non respiratory hospital staff to manage mechanical Ventilators. This organization is a toothless disgrace
They have disrespected our job title with making videos about how to manage a ventilator in 2 hours. Disgusting. Should have pushed our profession to the forefront. Completely disappointed in this organization.
If you’re an RT, please take a moment to thank the AARC for creation our profession, having our backs, promoting our value-all to help those patients, families, and our communities we serve.
By offering an online class on how to manage ventilators to anyone, the AARC has disrespected EVERY respiratory therapist, diminished their importance in the healthcare field, insulted their clinical knowledge and skills, and placed patients in danger. We are a highly skilled group of medical professionals whose clinical expertise has been honed over years of hard work. By offering an online course, you are insulting the profession by insinuating “anyone” can learn to manage a ventilator in a matter of hours. If the board me... read more
I am very disappointed by teaching a layman about ventilators . We can manage the vent just fine. You are not helping you want the 150K RTs to be a member you just did the opposite and after this pandemic just watch how many will not renew their membership.
No support or advocating for our profession when we need them the most. To them, anyone can run a vent!! Way to step up and fight for our vital role in the workplace.
I cant reccomend an association that stabs their members in the back. Great job at degrading us Respiratory Therapists.
Support Respiratory Therapists I think the leadership of the AARC has forgot what it is like to take care of patients and when this is over and the bean counters start getting rid of us because non RT's learned to manage vents we are all screqwed as a profession. I will never give the AARC another dime!
