Was on amedisys for little over a month. All the sudden I'm off and was told they would look for palliative care for me from a different provider. That still never happened as I lay in bed suffering with no plan now. Nurses were good, it's just the new medical manager must have thought I was just chronic and not terminal, but still left hanging with no plan for help. Zero help
I had Amedysis home health care services for months. The majority of the nurses/CNAs are very good. However there are some that demonstrate behavior "not in line with the goals of providing high quality, personalized care" and if you contact them regarding your concerns, they may find they are no longer able to help with your home health care needs, so they drop you. Sadly, I would not recommend them even though they have some great nurses
When my aunt passed, amedisys was very compassionate. They called and checked on us. Even before they were the ones who advised us to call 911. They actually care in a society like today that doesn't.
We have had them 4 different times after surgeries. They are the very best!!
They were all great but then One bad Apple, Dawn, was rude and disrespectful to myself and my caregiver and when I reported it they just gave excuses for her behavior saying she was overworked it's a very stressful job etc nothing about that they were sorry that we had to deal with that unprofessional behavior and that they would speak to her about being temperamental for no cause or reason
