In March of 2010 a company named Wolfgang, Inc. purchased Amedeos. The corporation is lead by President David Harris. The company has continued with the same DeAngelis family recipes and have added new Italian dishes to the menu. Amedeos continues to support NCSU and remains a Raleigh Wolfpack Tradition. After extensive upgrading of the kitchen and bathrooms, remodeling the bar to include several large screen TVs and touching up the dining rooms, Amedeo's reopened in early March. In January 2011, David and Jill DeAngelis Par... read more

Great pizza and wings! – I've been to Amedeo's on several occasion and I must say this resturant has it all. If you just want to pop in and watch the game you can on one of their large flat screen T.V's in the NCSU themed bar. The wings are excellent whether you order the authentic buffalo or the teriyaki they are bothy great! And I know good wings! You can also have a nice romantic dinner for two or bring out the whole family for a great Italian meal. The atmosphere in the dining room is very cozy and warm, especially if yo... read more
Amedeo's North not worth it – We have gone to this restaurant 3 times. The italian dishes were awful and overpriced. The pizza was great! and that is why we went back. The greek salad would be good but 1- it is a rip off at $10 and 2- they don't even have greek dressing-- what's the point? we didn't feel like family when 2 of the times we went at or before 830 and 3/4 of the chairs were on the tables and they were sweeping up--the stares made us feel like we were intruding- they close at 930! They also swept up right next to... read more
Amedeo's North is disappointing – I can't remember every going to an Italian restaurant where bread and salad were not part of your pasta entree. You have to pay $4-5 for bread and order salads at an additional expense. Our waiter was so soft spoken we could not understand what he was saying, we were not advised of any specials and the occupants of the tables froze to death with the gusts of cold air each time the front door was opened. Two tables sitting next to us actually had to eat with their coats on! When we mentioned ... read more
The best dive in town! – This place is a dive. It reminds me of some of the dive restaurants back in Pittsburgh. The food is outstanding! The bread they bring out is warm and fresh and soft. Perfect! The service has always been really good. I've had the pasta there before. You can create your own with whatever your heart desires. Their thick crush pizza isn't really that thick. It's perfect! We always end up with leftovers because the pieces are so big and filling! If you are an NC State fan, even better. They want you there... read more
Amedeo's -GREAT FOOD & GOOD SERVICE!! – I took my family here after the state game Saturday and we were quite happy with everything. The waitress was kind, food came out quick and the Veal Parm was out of this world!!!!!!!!!!!! MUST CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! A++
Check this place out – Amedeo's is one of the best non-generic places to eat near NC State. It does need a renovation, but the food and atmosphere more than make up for anything else. Try the Chicken parm and you won't be sorry. This was a favorite college hangout of mine. I go back every year multiple times. If your looking for a highclass place to wine and dine a date this is not it. If you want a great place eat in a casual setting with alot of freinds, then this is your place. As for some thinking the food is not good, w... read more
Would not recomend at all. – I have worked at many restaurants as cook when I was young. So I definitly differentiate the difference between frozen " Fake " pasta dish and the one just made it to an order. None of those stuff they got are fresh. Its know like best italian in town but its just big ballon.
Good, casual Italian-American Restaurant – This is the kind of Italian-American restaurant I'm used to. Having grown up close to Pittsburgh and being Italian-American, this is the place I come to for my southern Italian pasta or pizza fix. Amedeo is a wonderful person and his family operates the store very well. Rick, one of his boys, seems as though he is always there greeting guests. While not an N.C. State fan, it has not impacted my visits when I have worn my college's logo. Their pasta is always cooked perfectly, the sa... read more
DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE A CAROLINA FAN... – Or wearing Carolina gear. This was posted by someone on the statefans message board: "went to amedeos on friday and spotted a dude wearing a carolina hat in one of the booths. our hostess noticed us looking at the guy and said "don't worry, the cooks will take care of him". Disgusting. Whether she was joking or not, it was a highly inappropriate comment and I will never eat here again.
