In March of 2010 a company named Wolfgang, Inc. purchased Amedeos. The corporation is lead by President David Harris. The company has continued with the same DeAngelis family recipes and have added new Italian dishes to the menu. Amedeos continues to support NCSU and remains a Raleigh Wolfpack Tradition. Worse bar service in Raleigh – The place has the worse bar serivce in town. Went in the Friday night before the NCSU vs ECU game and waited for 20 minutes trying to get a beer....the girl NEVER asked me would I like anything and had an attitude, we ended up walking out. There were several people complaining around us, wouldn't go there again or suggest it to anyone!
It is NOT family owned – Whomever wrote the review about that place being family owned, its not anymore! The man Amedeo has nothing to do with it anymore which is probably the reason the morale seems to be so low now. I went to eat there recently with some friends and it was completely different. ITS IN THE FAMILY – my family has been eating at amedeos every friday night since way before i was born its a taste you cant get tired of. another great family tradition is the traditon of the family busniss every one who is releate works there its just a great family orentied place to go i highly recomend it!!!
mama d's pizza – I went to Amedeo's last week. Our meal was perfect. We had a pizza called the momma d's pizza. It was incredible !!!! The blue cheese dressing is homeade. The dressing was so good that we bought some to take home. I love the rustic look. Raleigh and Cary have way too many chains. you gotta visit this place. It is an old school restaurant. Will go back.
Stay Away from this Nightmare!! – Having come to Raleigh, we were looking for a place with group dining, one of our friends from NC State recommended Amedeo?s so we tried it before we took 25+ people for a Sunday dinner. We were greeted by waitress, who took our drink orders pleasantly. We had been given a bowl of hot bread which tasted very well, but was ruined by the fake butter spread they give you. Terrible is an understatement – What happened to that place? It's a dump. Everyone that works there looked like they had no clue what they were doing. I had heard how terrible it had gotten but was willing to give it another shot and now I understand why they would go bankrupt. Awful Italian Food – I should have taken a clue from the nearby tables, everyone had pizza. One of my party had meat ravioli, and I had lasagna. I don't know what to say other than the food was just terrible. The sauce tasted too much like tomato paste, the meat ravioli very plain. The lasagna looked to be assembled and baked in a dish. Amedeo's North, Pizza-Pasta, Perfection – I'm so glad we found this place, great North Raleigh location. Best meals, great staff and the owner always speaks to us and makes our kids laugh. Try the pasta Deluxe YUM YUM !!
Amedeo's North Best Italian in Raleigh!! – Love the Food. Best pizza in town! Everytime that my family and I go we are treated with best service ever! The owner always stops by to say hello, and treats my two little boys as if they were his own. You always feel as if you are family when you are there! The price of the food is on point for the quality and quanity of the food!
