In March of 2010 a company named Wolfgang, Inc. purchased Amedeos. The corporation is lead by President David Harris. The company has continued with the same DeAngelis family recipes and have added new Italian dishes to the menu. Amedeos continues to support NCSU and remains a Raleigh Wolfpack Tradition. After extensive upgrading of the kitchen and bathrooms, remodeling the bar to include several large screen TVs and touching up the dining rooms, Amedeo's reopened in early March. In January 2011, David and Jill DeAngelis Par... read more

DISGUSTING – I took my girlfriend on a date here and the food was terrible, my pasta with clam sauce made me sick even though I only took a few bites, the place was dirty, and the service was terrible.
Let us know when the calamari starts to be made fresh – I've eaten at Amedeos a good amount of times over the past 10 years. The price of the food and the quality matched each other 10 years ago but now, the prices have gone up and the quality has remained the same. I would say it is a bit overpriced. It is interesting to order the 'choose your pasta and topping' entree because sometimes the topping is not necessarily cooked in with the sauce. I've had angel hair with garlic butter and raw onions sprinkled on top and I've al... read more
In Defense of Amedeo's – This is a great place to eat & hang out. The food is delicious & has some of the best drink specials in Raleigh. I've read some of these reviews & can agree that service is not always the best & the manager they did hire did mess things up. But I know for a fact there are people who work there since the good days and are all about saving the place. *The management is back to the way it was *it is a family owned business!! *its fresh homemade food *yes changes did have to be made, cause the place did ... read more
Not the same Amedeo's – This is not the Amedeo's I am used to, and I have eaten here for 19 years. The service was absolutely horrible and the food was just as bad. We went 30 minutes without seeing our waiter and not having any water. On top of that, there was a spoiled tomato on the salad, which also had stale croutons that tasted like they were 3 weeks old. The wrong food was brought out, and I had to hunt down a hostess to find our waiter that did not come by our table or the table beside us (they left after about 30 min... read more
Taste of Italy – I 've been going to Amedeo's since 1997 . Went with my wife the other night and both of us made a pack not to go back. My lasagna was 3 noodles high barely up to the top of baking dish. It was smootherd in sauce and burnt. 3 meatballs that came from a bag ( no homemade ). My salad had stale croutons that were soft, no crunch. Talked to the cook, he had a slight attitude when he aproached me. He asked how was your meal. I just said nicely NOT AS GOOD AS IT ONCE WAS and walked out. A salesman friend stopped in... read more
What Happened to Amedeo's? – We had the worst meal there the other night. How can you possibly burn Lasagna? The service was slow but not horrible. The wait staff must be the JV Basketball team, a bunch of tall guys running in and out of the kitchen. However the girl running the food out wore her mid-back length hair loose. I didn?t have an issue until I saw her playing with it while she was waiting for the next order to come out. I wonder how many hairs made it into the food. We asked to speak to the manager. A 20 something... read more
I was at Amedeo's after the Miami football game the other day and place was packed. There was so many State fans there from the game, wearing red, it was a lot of fun. Yeah, we had to wait a bit but it was worth it. The food wasn't bad either. I'd recommend it.
Not traditional Italian Food – I love Italian food but was disappointed with what I got instead. The food wasn't terrible but its not your good true italian food but more of an Americanized version. I was expecting it to be great since it was supposedly family run but it isn't. Pizza was soggy and my girlfriends lasagna was full of water. I definitely feel the reviews of bad service...more of annoyed bartender. Not the best view from the windows in the bar when you are trying to have dinner. The bartender seemed annoyed with... read more
amedeos may not be what it used to be, but have some respect – I used to work at amedeos when i was in college at NCSU. one of my old co-workers just sent me a link, so i could read the inexplicable trash and drama that has been written in a form of a resturant review. i worked at amedeos for two years and when i left that establishment, i was still the newest employee. recently, all the employees that had worked at amedeos for a number of years have either quit or been fired. it breaks my heart to read the reviews that have... read more
