Kennel Cough at the Alvarado Vet I got my female dog fixed, and a week later she started coughing so we took her back and she was diagnosed with Kennel Cough which the Vet said she contracted there at their hospital. I was charged for her medicine and when I called to speak with Dr. Vaughn he would not give me a answer why I wasn't told of the outbreak when I dropped my dog off to get her fixed, instead his response was" I'm not obligated to let anyone know, you come to this vet at your own risk." A Convenient Clinic This place is convenient because there are many vets onhand to assist you. You don't need an appointment and they are open 6 days a week. Their kennel services are a bit steep on the prices, but we take our animals elsewhere for that kind of service. Highly recommend this business.
Dr Finley….Bo's hero! I have taken all of my animals to Alvarado for over 20 years. Dr. Finley performed multiple surgeries on my sweet Bo over the years….Bo didn't like many people but he loved Dr. Finley. When the time came and we had to put Bo down Dr. Finley cried with me. You can't fake compassion like that. Dr. Beam performed TPLO surgery on both of my boy Tank's back legs. satisfied I have used the alvarado vet clinic a couple times, but my family has been going there for years and we've never had a problem. Of course i've had to wait longer then i wanted, but that happens every where. As for the staff up front, they are only knowledged to do certain tasks, so dont get angry at them. I will continue to go there and recommend others to do so also
Amazing People! We rushed our dog Duke here one morning because he wouldn't stay in the backyard and as I was driving out of our driveway he chased me and my back tire hit him. I was hysterical and felt horrible, after calling them they told me to bring him up immediately and they would help us out. As soon as we arrived he was rushed inside to a room and put on oxygen. We explained to them we were between paydays so we only had about $200 in our account. They were amazing in giving him shots and medication to stop the shock... read more
Great vet They have taken care of my animals for a while now and i will never go anywhere else. They are good docs and always care for their animal patients. They are kind and help out when they can.
Used To Be Excellent but now, ? Depending on the doctor you get, depends on the quality of care differece. Since my last visit I will never use this clinic again. My dogs showed positive for heartworms which, I would have never been notified about if I had not made an inquiry on the status. I'm stll waiting on a phone call. They have lost my business for good, Bud, you need to reevaluate your help.!!
Attempted to provide my cat a dignified end to a miserable lifetime I adopted an older cat that I came to love very much knowing that we would have a short but very loving time together. Compassionate Clinic! Sorry to read previous post of an owner and her cat. That had to be a VERY unusual moment as when we finally decided to take in our 14 year old lab, they carried him from my car, asked if I would like to be present (I couldn't, but appreciate their compassion). Even though they were very busy they were kind, gave me kleenex and sent a sympathy card the very next day signed by the vet.
