Very courteous and treated me and my husband with respect. Monday I spent 12 hours at Grossmont sharps hospital and never was seen by a Dr. At Alvarado they had my blood work done and a UA in less than an hour. CT scan in about 3 hours and we were on our way home in 5. So happy we went there.

Friendly staff, easy to navigate, and the cafeteria is always clean along with the bathrooms.

P.A. had a interpreter... doctor was dressed in shorts flip flops and tank top. The scheduling department mis read the notes was to be admitted and wasnt. It was a horrible experience

Usually not too packed. I was happy that they understood the severity of my condition and triaged me really fast because of the internal bleeding. I like how if you call out "nurse" any nurse will come to help and they don't just put it on the nurse assigned to you. I just wish it was renovated and looked cleaner. Other than that I've only been there twice and I didn't have a negative experience.

The 6 hour wait in ER was taxing but once we got to treatment friendly efficient helpful. Amazing the flexibility of theDr professionals. They handled a violent individual in waiting room, the rude cussing inebriate man with ease and still were on top of the massive load. Even the several inmates were treated accordingly. A very entertaining experience. Plus, not as condescending as those at Grossmont.

The 6 floor staff were very attentive and friendly. No one wants to be in a hospital but if I had to be, Alvarado would be my choice.
