Took my son to the ER for a broken arm. They took an X-Ray and said it was all in place. Followed up with a pediatric orthopedist a week later that sent me to Children’s ER to have the bone reduced and set. The X-Ray clearly showed things were not in place. Next time I will cross the river for an ER! Cost my son a week of healing! ER doc had no bedside manner for kids and no knowledge of bones apparently.
First time having to come here. Had severe back pain. Doctor never laid a finger on me. Was given a shot of muscle relaxer. With good insurance my cost is $700??? This is what's wrong with medicine in America!!
lab tech had the attitude he was God's gift. flirting with the female nurses while in the er room. saying only has 10 minutes on his shift. totally unprofessional.
Left me in the waiting room for hours in severe pain. Took forever for a lab tech to even come get me for blood. By that time I refused service from this band aid station. WENT TO SAINT ANTHONYS THEY WERE PHENOMENAL. GOT ME RIGHT INTO A ROOM GOT MY BLOOD RIGHT AWAY AND HOOKED ME UP TO AN IV. turns out I did have food poisoning and also a bladder infection. Best service I’ve ever received was at Saint Anthony’s. Will not be back to Alton memorial
Unfortunately, I should have listened to everyone that has told me how bad this hospital has gotten over the years. Won’t make this mistake again.
Just got out of hospital today. Ive been in many hospital's and Alton Memorial Hospital is by far the very best hospital ive ever been in. Thanks to everyone there for the greatest care ive ever had.
They’re rude, don’t know what they’re doing, and I don’t recommend them to anyone. What a horrible horrible experience.
RecommendedI had worked there 23+ years and none of the nurses I dealt with would have known me. I got great care from drs and nurses along with other departments! I would die before I went to the hospital on the circle !!!
