Best hair salon in the Grove (and Miami too!) – I once stumbled into Allure on an off day about 6 years ago found my hairstylist Carlos and have never gone to another salon again. I love this place, the people are great and I have such faith in my stylist I have no fear of sitting in the chair and telling him to do whatever he wants. I highly recommend Allure and Carlos in particular for your hair cut and highlighting needs.
Dont bother – don't bother with this salon the tacky decor and loud noisy blaring music and the loud mouth stylist are enough to send a person running. I went to this salon and the stylist turned my hair like 4 different colors from scalp to ends. He didnt want to admit it that he messed my hair up when it was clearly different colors. The music was obnoxiously loud and another stylist all she could talk about was how drunk she got the night before and badmouth the last place she worked. It's funny how it wasn't until Joy was fired recently (as Tabatha Coffey from Bravo's "Tabatha's salon Takeover" had recommended) was it that clients started to post reviews about her. Stylists should never post reviews about themselves, especially disgruntled past employees such as Joy. Joy was fired after she ruined two clients' hair. She may be describing herself in the above review
Looking for my Stylist – I went to Allure Salon about a year ago with calico cat hair. I tried to hilight my own hair at home and made a mess! I ended up looking like a calico cat!! I went to Allure Salon because my sister goes to see Joy and she loved her. So I went. Joy was the utmost professional she was very sympathetic when I was crying i felt so stupid. Irina is amazing! – I was recommended by my friend to Irina! She is amazing she sat down with me listened to me and completley understood what I wanted. She gave me tips on how to take the excess oil from my hair and strengthn it. My hair was in bad condition when i went. She gave me a new great shiny color and a beautiful fun haircut. Since I have had a bad experience before i was nervous, but after Irina did my hair I will not let anybody else touch my hair. great hair salon – Ive gone to so many different hair stylists throughout my life and and ive been content but never 100% satisfied. allure salon is the first salon that ive actually walked into and felt as if i was in a higher end salon with extremely professional stylists. Done to perfection, everytime – I have been going to Allure for more years than I would like to disclose, but thanks to Carlos, no one would ever know, because my haircolor and cuts are always beyond reproach. Sandra is amazing! – I moved here 3 years ago and haven't settled on a hair dresser. I decided to try allure because i live in the grove. I called and asked for an appt and asked who is the best with blondes. They suggested Sandra. She is flat out amazing! she took my hair from drab to gorgeous and gave me a cut, color and a style that are all excellent! i'm so pleased I walked out with the dramatically improved hair that i had been lookign for... i will definitely be back to Sandra!
Love my Irina~ makes me look like a super star! – I have been going to Irina for the better part of 7 years. I always have people ask where I get my highlights/low lights done~ they just love it! I feel bad when I go home to the midwest because they can't come and try her out :(
