Without warning, they stopped taking my insurance (Cigna), then they stopped refilling my insulin prescription because I hadn't been there in over a year. It is going to be 6 months before I can get into another endo, but now that this office wont get any money from me/my insurance, they refuse to help me in the interim. Stopped taking anthem!! Wow. My wife has been coming here for years and they stopped taking anthem insurance which I would have to pay 200 out of pocket for visit. Now I'm forced to find another doctor.
I'm extremely disappointed with my recent consultation with the endocrinologist Dr. Safa. Seeking a second opinion, I had hoped for expert guidance on addressing my persistent hypothyroidism symptoms despite being on medication for over two years. Unfortunately, the doctor merely confirmed my existing diagnosis without offering any new insights or adjustments to my treatment plan. Although polite, this doctor was dismissive of symptoms and undermined the advise and diagnosis I’d been given by other MD’s. He mentioned how long he had been in practice and that his opinion was accurate while only reviewing the labs of other MD’s and not examining me himself at all. When I mentioned what a few other MD’s had said (and all agreed upon) he disagreed and said there’s nothing that can be done.
