I have fond memories of going to Alexanders 20 years ago when my two nieces and several friends lived in Pittsburgh. I looked forward to my trips from my small hometown to the big city to visit them and we often went to Alexanders. They have all moved away now , but last weekend I found myself in Pittsburg with my husband and sister in law celebrating his birthday weekend. I had my first experience at Alexander’s last night with a group of my girlfriends. We had a blast! Great friend/family atmosphere, food was delicious, some of the best Italian food I’ve had. The service was wondering and from the minute we walked in everyone was very welcoming. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Had dinner for the first time last night at Alexander’s and it was absolutely delicious from appetizer to desert. It was early in the evening so we sat on the patio, this was our own fault because our food got cold quickly. Note to self, don’t eat outside at dusk. The server was very friendly and attentive, I noticed that she kept her eyes on our table even though the restaurant was on the busy side. She made sure our beverages we had where always full. I absolutely love this place. I prefer a variety of tapas/small plates vs. a big entree and Alexander's has sooo many small plates to choose from and are super affordable. Their fresh Italian bread and pesto olive oil are fantastic. Cocktails are also delicious - Pimm's Cup 👊
Raymond is one of the best bartenders I have experienced. Personable, friendly and fun. Highly recommend you visit when he is working!
Absolutely wonderful food and amazing atmosphere! We recently visited to celebrate an engagement, and they gave the table a bottle of champagne. It was incredibly thoughtful, and a lovely touch to a fantastic meal. I cannot say enough great things, and am excited to return next time I am in town!
