My daughter saw Dr.Doctoroff for a dry spot on her lip, and for her acne. He did not examine her at all; merely offhandedly said that she had herpes (yes he used the word herpes without explaining that he meant a cold sore,not genital herpes. I had to explain to her, after she told me about what he had diagnosed, what the difference was.). The dry patch did not present as a cold sore; she doesnt know what it is. I blindly picked Dr. A when I relocated to diagnose a lump I had behind my ear. He came off very laid back almost nonchalant, but was patient enough to calm my concerns about the lump (he said its probably just a cyst that will go away and it has). He then noticed a lump on my thigh that he later removed in a 15 minute procedure. So he knows his stuff, moves quickly, staff is very personable. We were all having a fun convo during my procedure. Dr. Doctoroff saved my life. I came in for one thing, but he insisted on checking out a few of my moles. It turned out that one was quite dangerous. I'm glad to have found such a thorough doctor.
rushes you - i didn;t even finish and he left the room --- gives a lot of VERY expensive medicine
Kept me waiting for an hour. When I finally did see him, he walked in, answered a PERSONAL call on his cell phone and told the person on the line to "hold on for two minutes." Dr. Doctoroff then proceeded to rush through my examination, getting up to leave the room several times while I was still in the middle of a question. I think this doctor is more interested in billing insurance carriers than in actually treating patients. I have no idea why the wait is so long if he rushes through appointments. I find that he doesn't spend enough time diagnosing the problem and is too rushed. Waited almost an hour without an apology.
After going to various dermatologists for 10 years finally found one that actually helped.
this is a great doctor. very, very knowledgeable. i have been to another dermatologist - total waste of time. dr doctoroff helped me so much! my acne is now gone (after 10 years of suffering)!
Dr. Doctoroff is the kind of doctor I'd been looking for ever since I moved to New Jersey a few years ago. He's kind and patient, and really gives a thorough exam. I have also been really impressed with his knowledge and experience--for some reason, no dermatologist had able to ease my psoriasis--but Dr. Doctoroff's treatment has really made a difference. I am really glad that I found him.
