Had a good experience with Dr. Mierke performing DISH surgery on my neck. Recovery after 6 weeks has been event free, and excruciating pain associated with this condition has been reduced or eliminated. Highly recommend both Dr. Mierke, and Florida Orthopedic.
Dr Mierke is exceptional! He is so knowledgeable and shares his knowledge with computer examples, models of spines(yes, plural), informative paperwork, pre and post expectations as well as time explaining the procedure itself. He answered any question I asked of him with other physical afflictions I have that may have influence on my outcome of this 73 year old lady's surgery. Dr. Mierke is a God send of a surgeon who goes out of his way to care for his patients. I had several complications following my cervical spine surgery and he gave us his personal number to keep in touch with him every step of the way. He continues to be available as I heal from a second surgery and willingly eases my mind with any concern. I should recommend him to anyone needing orthopedic spine concerns.
