I changed my Aflac policies to my employer 1/1/2017, I found that Aflac was still billing my credit card. I contacted the agent and the company with no results. Aflac agents work on commission and don't seem to communicate with other sections of the companies. I canceled all my accounts 1/1/2018 they are still billing my credit card. There is no way to change my credit card information on their web site. There is one gentleman I am working with now that I am hoping can resolve my issues so I don't need to take further action... read more

I was injuried on January 30, 2018 while exercising. I went to urgent care the following day for treatment I submitted a claim on February 8, 2018 with the current documents I had and submitted additional medical documents after seeing the orthopedic specialist on February 13, 2018. and have been out of work since February 14, 2018 being placed on light duty status On said day I called and checked the claim status and it still had not been processed and was informed that it won't until the 16th of February. I have submitted 2 claims with Aflac 1. regarding an accident, and the other regarding a death. Both times they have made this process miserable. Not only does it take an act of God to get them to cover a claim. They require that you do all of this while you are grieving a loss. As if you do not already have enough on your mind to deal with. So far my experience with Aflac has been terrible. Granted I have been with them for little under a year, in my time of need this insurance company has failed me, and continues to do so. After submitting a claim for a common surgical procedure that kept me out of work for about 3 weeks, I filed a short term disability claim. I had expectations, hence their commercials and promises that I would have some money arriving in time to take care of the bills. Total scam company. After Years of paying for their policies, the one time I applied for help on my short term disability, I was declined. Numerous documents provided to them and even from my primary Doctor. Always Declined.... Always an excuse why they would not pay and always given the run around. When things got more complex I never received a call back from my local Rep. Even after numerous calls.. Save your money and get a better medical plan
I Aflac accidental policy and injured my foot/toe while on vacation 7/22, pain, swelling, difficulty walking on it became worse. I went to ***** on 8/1and I had a fractured to. Submitted claim, they paid for the fracture but denied m office visit because I didn't go within 72 hour. This company is a scam. Been paying for over 15 years on this policy. They cheat you when you actually do file a claim. Their customer service is horrible, called everyday and didn't get anywhere. This company is the absolute worst ever. Wish I never got this policy. Such a waste. Even tried to file a complaint against them but was told they don't handle any complaints against insurance companies. Not sure why I see others listed on the page but they didn't accept mine. The customer service waits are long...the representatives are not really informed . The and the advertisement of one day claim pay or quick pay is not what you really need there service for std. I've been off a total of 3 almost 4 weeks and won't receive any money.... even a decision till I go back to work. Which is not good..... and they don't seem to Care.
This company has the worst customer service. I was disappointed with how may STD policy was handled. I had just had a baby and felt like this situation could have been handled a lot BETTER!!! FYI, there are no updates to STD policy on the website. It's like the stone ages. I was given inaccurate information by several representatives every time I called in and was utterly exasperated with the process. So many excuses were made.
