Partner was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and the entire experience took 7 hours. They did CT scans, blood and urine lab work…took the doctor almost 3 hours to come in to talk to us, just to tell us everything was good and normal. He hadn’t eaten all day and was feeling light headed but wasn’t allowed to eat until he talked to the doctor, so that 3 hour wait was excruciatingly painful. Horrible communication and service.

Best ER in MO CO! No waiting! Exceptional staff. If you are lucky enough to be near here (and I'm in Poolesville and that's close enough), definitely go there in an emergency.

This review is only about the emergency physician, Mengyang Liu. After a visit to the emergency department, his office sent a bill for $1,700, which is outrageous considering he spent barely a couple of minutes with me. My insurance declined his claim and instructed that I should not be billed directly, stating that the documentation provided did not support the level of service billed. My aunt is currently hospilized here and we can not get any answers from her MRI. She had a gallstone removed and she was still feeling very sick. Her daughter asked for an MRI to be done and Dr.Berette did not want to do it but since we pushed back we finally got the MRI on Saturday. It is now Sunday night and we have still not had radiology review her MRI. They are saying other patients are taking presedence over her but it seems like they do not have any radiology staff yo me. I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the service at Shady Grove Hospital's Emergency Room. My experience, and that of other patients I observed, showed a concerning lack of timely and attentive care. Patients seeking urgent medical attention were subjected to wait times of up to five hours in the waiting room before being seen.
