The absolute worst er and ICU ever. If I were able to drive to Baltimore from Gaithersburg, I would have gone to John Hopkins er. I came to er after pooping out clear water 50 times then drinking water to compensate that, about 30 liters or something. I got dizzy a headache, heartburn couldn't stand or walk . waited 2hrs or more. Why the hell didn't they admit me immediately when it's life threatening is beyond me. Why I was dizzy couldn't walk ...well my sodium went down to 109. That's life threatening and should be treated... read more
Updating my review because the last two times I've been at the ER have been quite positive. In the past, I've had really nasty attendings, although the nurses have always been great. This morning (6/26) I was experiencing terrible pain and I knew it was my kidney because just a few week earlier an urgent care doctor said I had a kidney infection. if I was, you do your best to take care of yourself at home and if it’s an emergency, do not go to Shady Grove hospital respectfully, I was at Shady Grove hospital for an ear infection that made my heart rate strike up. Nobody not one time check my ear that led for me to be in the hospital for over 4 days. I went last night and had a great experience with the doctor, nurse, and staff. They took their time, treated me with care, and were able to find the real problem I had. I felt relieved finally knowing what was going on — especially after coming from another urgent care that didn’t take my case seriously. Thank you so much for the way you treated me.
I have to go get my rabies vaccine here for a dog bite and it was a very smooth flow. Staff is all great and I’d like to thank Lenny PA-C, Meghan RN and Jacob RN for their excellent care, reassurance and real compassion to help patients like me.
