Bought gift cards at the local grocer to maximize savings (fuel perks) only to find out when placing my order online that you cannot use gift cards online because "their IT Department is working on it". So now I'm stuck with $75 in gift cards because the store can't rectify the situation other than returning the items bought online (discounts for buying online only) and rebuying at a much higher cost. Customer Service just says they're sorry I'm frustrated. Gift cards do not state they can only be used in store. BEWARE

Company never answers their phone keep transferring department and won't return voicemails not replacing engine which is under warranty same time and money by going to AutoZone or oraillys auto parts

Worst place I have ever shop at in my life Boston parks with a lifetime warranty didn't last 2 weeks they refused to refund my money

After 15 years and $1000s spent annually......Done with them! Customer Service at Gloucester store is horrible. They Dont maintain a database for warrantied parts, use a thermal printer so the print becomes illegible, and manager says my responsibility to photocopy receipts?! Manager lacks basic problem solving skills. OReillys, Autozone, NAPA, or Rock Auto Much more suitable. I predict Advance will go the way of Montgomery Wards. Too much hassle to conduct business there.

Placed order online for the 20% discount , waited 2x recommended time. When I arrived they didn't have my order in the system. Went to select item ordered and they didn't have one in stock even though website said in stock at this locations, selected 3 additional items, 2 of which were on sale. Checked receipt after leaving and was charged full price for sale items. First time shopping there, and will never shop adavance auto parts again. Also have called 4 times and waited on hold for over an hour total will no one to answe... read more

I bought a power steering control valve, retail price $248.00. A few days later, I returned to AAP and sold them my rebuildable core for $105. Two years later, the lifetime warranty part failed and I returned it for an exchange. After a week's worth of phone calls and general difficulty, AAP agreed to refund my money. I gave them their part back, and they gave me $135 refund. Despite my repeated attempts to demonstrate that the refund should be $248, the manager refused to issue the rest of it.

I purchased a battery and had advance auto install less than 3 years ago. The battery failed and when I returned it he receipt they pulled did not match the battery number. They had put in the wrong battery. The car was only 4 years old at the time and now is 7 years old. They would not replace it due to the fact that they put in the wrong one and listed a different one on the receipt. I went to Advance Auto Parts to get a new headlight for my car. This was the first time I had to replace a headlight on this particular car. I was extremely nervous so when I went to Advance I asked them if they could either show me how to replace it or give me some advice. The man working in the store, who I later discovered to be the manager, told me "if you were prettier I would help you." and then walked away. I have been buying parts from advanced auto for 15+ years and only parts with a life time warranty I have had to replace my power steering pump 4 times in less then a year. With everything brand new and recommended oil the pumps keep failing with the last return I was told they would not replace anymore. Another thing I have noticed it's alot of the parts that I have bought with lifetime warranty are not in there system anymore. WTF who runs a business like this I am done with advanced auto I will be filing a law suit agains... read more
