service delayed, extra costs Another Home Depot blunder. Why do they keep these guys? They are the only contracted plumber in my area. I set up a new water heater install for same-day service the moment Home Depot customer service opened, and was told the plumbers would arrive between 10am-2pm. Try working for them I worked for them and the Licensed plumbers they have were more concerned with trying to get their daily jobs cancelled than doing the actual installs. They want you to upsell, which is understandable but, their prices are way too high and unreasonable. They screwed me on my hours needed to get my license and I now have to do my schooling over. They have someone running the business that has no plumbing experience at all. At one time was a very good company but they now seem to be going under
DID NOT KEEP APPOINTMENTS The two previous reviews sound very familiar. I have placed an order for a water heater installation at 11 am and I was told that it will be installed that same day and somebody will be calling me to schedule a time. By 3 pm, I still did not have been contacted. Call back Home Depot every hour, they tried to call Addario sometimes nobody will pick up the phone, or he is away from his desk, or they were closed and they had to leave a message with Answering Service. I could not believe it. I too orderer a hot water heater from Home Depot. It went suddenly and I needed new one with any hassles. I talked to a representative of Home Depot on one of their in store phones and made the arrangements for the install. They said the plumber would call for the time etc. The next morning Addario Plumbing called and said they would be there within a four hour window. Did not keep 2 appointments George B's story sounds familiar. I too waited 1/2 a day, called and learned that they *were coming* that day to install a water heater. Then they called back an hour later to reschedule. They didn't show up at the 2nd appointment either. They called later to reschedule. I cancelled the water heater installation through Home Depot. How many days off from work am I to take so that a water heater I paid for over a week ago gets installed? No more.
TERRIBLE SERVICE - DIDNT FIX THE PROBLEM Not only did the company fail to keep appointments, but they failed to fix the problem they overcharged us to repair. I have now had to call them out for a third visit to repair the initial problem. Once this is sorted out, I will never use them again.
Home Depot Water Heater Installation-Cape Cod Home Depot locally was OK but trying to use the national number to order up an installation was hopeless. (local store was out of stock) Installer was a nice kid and professional, tried to sell me some unneeded parts which I take to be part of his instructions from his boss. You Get More Than You Pay For I recently left Addario's plumbing after 2 plus years and I find these comments laughable, especially the review by the "ex employee who got screwed out of his licence hours". Keep in mind that since the first review posted on this site in September of 2005, Addario's has installed over 12,000 water heaters. 24 hr service! Sometimes accidents happen at night so it is great to find a 24 hr, same day emergency service! They have some of the best prices around and they also do kitchen and bath remodeling.
