Did not keep appointment I arranged for a water heater to be installed in a second home. I told them in advance that I had to take a day off from work and was traveling from out of town to do this. Subequent to this, they made a mistake on the installation day and called trying to make arrangements for this incorrect date. This was corrected. When called the day before the correct scheduled appt day,they were unable to provide me with an aproximate installation time. They do not do this until the day of the appt.and this was... read more
okay job we had a hot water heater installed through Home Depot. Had a problem with installation appointment (this was Home Depot's fault) but once that was settled they came out and did the job. The heater is still working - two weeks later- so I guess they did okay work. Husband thinks they did a good job. He was down there with them and watched what they did.
DID NOT KEEP APPOINTMENTS The two previous reviews sound very familiar. I have placed an order for a water heater installation at 11 am and I was told that it will be installed that same day and somebody will be calling me to schedule a time. By 3 pm, I still did not have been contacted. Call back Home Depot every hour, they tried to call Addario sometimes nobody will pick up the phone, or he is away from his desk, or they were closed and they had to leave a message with Answering Service. Hot Water Tank Extortionists We too bought a hot water heater from Home Depot and paid the installation upfront and was told that the installers would be there tomorrow morning to install. We were told to anticipate some extra costs like $30 for a permit, etc. OK, that's fine. In the morning I get a call from Addario's to tell me the time frame they'd arrive. TERRIBLE SERVICE - DIDNT FIX THE PROBLEM Not only did the company fail to keep appointments, but they failed to fix the problem they overcharged us to repair. I have now had to call them out for a third visit to repair the initial problem. Once this is sorted out, I will never use them again.
service delayed, extra costs Another Home Depot blunder. Why do they keep these guys? They are the only contracted plumber in my area. I set up a new water heater install for same-day service the moment Home Depot customer service opened, and was told the plumbers would arrive between 10am-2pm. You Get More Than You Pay For I recently left Addario's plumbing after 2 plus years and I find these comments laughable, especially the review by the "ex employee who got screwed out of his licence hours". Keep in mind that since the first review posted on this site in September of 2005, Addario's has installed over 12,000 water heaters. Charging when no work done These people answer the phone saying how they can provide you excellent customer service and that is absolutely false! I called with a charge discrepancy and asked that the woman not be snappy and she said I was and then hung up on me! How is that excellent service? As well as the reason for calling was that they charged an elderly friend $100 for a service call and a $350 restocking fee for nothing being done! Great experience with a complex project My fiance and I just applied for a portfolio of home upgrades through a Mass Save loan, and Addarios was the HVAC subcontractor to complete a tankless hot water heater installation as well as mini-split units in our upstairs bedrooms. Though there were some opportunities for improvement (mainly from alignment between the sales representative and the technicians), the experience was overall a positive.
