Excellent food, horrible service – While the food was great, the rudeness of the service staff in rushing us (4 people, paying $78 pp!) was amazing! When a waiter asked "Can I take the bread away?" and was told "Only if absolutely necessary", she took it away anyway! She came twice in two (!) minutes trying to take a spinach plate away. great food. – best place in boston. They messed up our reservation which was annoying but the service and the food was great. the waiter was excellent. great time.. Bring your wallet but it is worth it .
The waiter – Went on a Sunday evening, menu was very similiar to a lot of steakhouses in the area, as was the decor, but the waiter , went out of his way to accomodate us, his name was Cooper, and he made an ok meal a great one . Very helpful, the steaks themselves I would have like to have seen trimmed a little more for gristle, but the flavor was there , beef tartare ap was perfect, side of mushrooms and asparagus, and fries perfect. Decor was old mans club feel though.
Great Brunch – We stopped at Abe & Louie's for brunch. We received excellent service and the food was probably the best meal that we had in Boston for the week that we were there. The restaurant prides itself in the high quality of service that they provide. I was told that reservations are hard to get on Friday and Saturday nights, so plan ahead.
Can't Go Wrong! – Food is consistently good and fresh. . .nice varied menu for a steakhouse. . .atmosphere is happening, always hopping - Michael the bartender is an absolute doll! Makes the place shine!
This is the one of the worse restaurant I had ever been to... I ordered the sword fish... pretty expensive compare to other main course in the menu... when it came, the fish was burned and no taste at all, I had a couple bites but it was just too bad to be eaten... This is the first and only time that I have like more than 95% of the dish left on the plate... and don't want to take out at all... My husband ordered a steak, it was alright... with the price they charged... the quility of the steak is just not good enough...
STEAK and all the rest! – My favorite! Great Martini - Great Wine - Great Steak!!
Highly Recommended – The food was excellet. The steak cooked perfectly and the side dishes greatly complimented the steak. Nice wine list and great martini's. The waitstaff was very nice althoguh a bit slow. No doubt due to the masses that came to eat there. Definately not a place you would want to rush through your dinner anyway. Take your time, sit back and enjoy!
First choice for Steak Dinner – We have been here several times for special occasions. Food is spectacular and service top-notch. The only down-side is being seated near bar as it tends to get very populated and can deter from a romantic dinner. This is always our first choice for steak dinner in Boston.
