very good facility AND EASY TO WORK WITH......NOT AT ALL LIKE THE RESCUE GROUPS THAT YOU HAVE TO JUMP THRU HOOPS TO ADOPT A DOG....
I am a volunteer for the Bainbridge, Ga shelter and I along with everyone else appreciate when this awesome group can assist us in saving shelter animals lives. It DOES make a difference! And I applaud them for all they do to help animals in need. Period! No matter where they come from.
I made an appointment but, and I could be wrong here, they take walk-ins too. So yes my appointment time came and went which could have been bad for me but I gave myself a huge time allotment since I was coming from out of county & had no idea what kind of traffic I was going to run into (Which happened to be light that day). This place was very judgemental when we went in to adopt. I thought they wanted people to take pets home to take care of?? Guess not! I drove 45min to look at puppies there just to have one of the people there tell someone else wrong information and then they pull us into the office and tell us that we can not adopt there because of false info she was given. I want to thank the HSTB for taking in a puppy that I found wandering the streets in Tampa. I tried to find her owners with no luck. No collar, no microchip. I could not keep her because I live in an apartment with two large dogs and was not allowed another. But I would have if I could! I contacted the HSTB who told me to bring her in. When I got there, they immediately saw how sweet she was. And also how much care she needed. She was very underweight, skin and bones. She just loved on everyone and wiggled her little butt.
