A fabulous place – Kiley is an amazing stylist! She did hair for me, my mom and all of my bridesmaids for my wedding. That ended up being seven hairstyles! Each of us got the look we wanted and our hair looked amazing all through the night. She even re-styled me before the reception. I LOVED my hair. Kiley is super talented, quick and very fun to work with. I also can't say enough good things about Jenny Brawner! She did my lash extensions for two months before the wedding and shaped my brows. The best hairapy ever . . . – Kiley ROCKS! I've been getting coiffed by Kiley (with the exception of a bad experience while she was away) for eons and first met her when she was in training at Magnum Opus 'way back.' She is phenomenal and always top notch on both color and cut. I have a tone of red/strawberry blond hair that is unsual and I get some highlights and they are always perfect (that one other occasion I ended up with maroon hair -- not pretty -- and they wanted to charge me much more than I usually pay!). 77 Rocks! – I love going to this salon its a great relaxing experience. I have been going to Mackenzie for over 6 months now and she always gives me a great hair cut and i love my color! Everyone there is super friendly and they have great hair products.
Consistently happy! – I've had some great haircuts at a variety of salons. Sadly, I've had to go to a variety of salons for a positive, repeat-experience. Sarah has consistently delivered a stylish cover-up, of my 5 quirky cowlicks, while not boring me with idle gossip. Great environment, great service and I am relaxed enough to occasionally accept the free beer or wine, knowing it's not to glaze over quality -it's pure bonus! Keep it up 77!
Good Cut – I tried Kiley for a womens hair cut for the first time. She did an excellent job. She did exactly what I asked her for, nothing more, nothing less, which is how it should be. She was nice to chat with without being annoying. I got a great cut and was very happy with my overall experience.
Men's hair done right – Sara was the best stylist at Hair M before she moved to 77. Now she owns the shop. She keeps her edge with constant connection to innovation through her position with American Crew.
What has happened? – I was in for the first time since the salon was taken over by new management, and I was completely taken back by what's happened to the place. One of the main reasons I went to 77 was because of the atmosphere. It was refined without being over the top. Now, it looks like a high society frat brother vomited in there. What was once a high scale salon is now an upscale barber shop.

Thanks for at least saying we're upscale! I appreciate that. Change is hard indeed but past ownership proved a lack of concern for the business. I am happy to say that 77 Salon is again among the most popular salons in Portland. We are buzzing with 13 super-talented stylists. And yes, there are some barbers that work here as well! The hair I always wanted. – I've been going to the salon for years and have had nothing but great experiences. Greatest hair place I have ever been to! – Vanessa cut a dyed my hair and did an Amazing job!!! She was really friendly and really seemed to have a passion for what she does. I have received so many compliments for my new hair I WILL be coming back !
