Fabulous new colorist named Karen! – Well, I just read several other reviews, and I wouldn't know about the other stylists. I just went there for the first time last week and there's this colourist, apparently she's new there, but she did the most amazing job on my hair! I've gone to so many expensive places/people and my red dye job always ended up looking fake. But she did something that made me look like I just naturally have deep auburn red hair. With all the natural looking highlights and lowlights and such. I hope it's... read more

Umm no... – I went to this salon based on reputation alone. I have medium blonde hair and needed some new highlights and a root touch up. I brought pictures, had a consult and thought the stylist and I were both on the same page. When she was done my hair was sooo brassy and my scalp had bleach burns on it, which later turned to a couple of painful scabs. I expected much better results for such an upscale place. I think this salon pays too much attention to image and not enough time training their employees.

Horrible – They said my hair was a disaster and would charge me 400 to dye it back to natural color and sign a waiver form.they didnt even want to do it. i went to another place that charged me 140 and it came out perfect, they used the exact same products this salon had. They think there great at what they do, but they seem amateur and like they have no idea. My friend got her hair dyed looked like the color came right out and they made her blow dry her own hair! there to expensive for what they do. I would say there just a... read more

Still great place to go – I don't know what the last reviewer is talking about as far as no skilled staff left since my hairstylist Tommie has been there for years and the people around him are all still there. I guess some staff people have left but isn't that part of life? People come and go. The place is still busy and fun to be at! My stylist and colorist (thanks Vanessa) are there and still the best I have ever been to. 77 Maiden Lane is still my favorite salon and will continue to be!

For the money, not worth the trouble... – I wanted to have wonderful spa experiences and kept seeing this place listed in magazines, etc. I went SEVERAL times, trying different stylists trying to find the perfect match (for hair cuts). But as other customers have advised, the customer service aspect is nonexistent. People are very aloof and snobby. When I made special requests (such as no razors) people would tune me out, or give me attitude for the rest of the session. I was also charged $10 more for "long hair". I never le... read more

Top-notch pampering with a refined attitude distinguishes this sophisticated salon and day spa near Union Square. – The Scene A favorite among ladies-who-lunch, well-to-do city visitors and image-conscious executives, this posh downtown destination hums with activity seven days a week. The second-floor space softens the buzz from its army of staff and clientele with soothing cream-colored walls, furnishings in calming coffee tones and distinct enclaves for cut, color, nail and makeup services. Spa treatments take place in sa... read more

Great Pedicures – There is not a better place in San Francisco to receive a pedicure. 77 Maiden Lane is the best. But, the atmosphere of the spa leaves a lot to be desired. The customer service staff is efficient, but they need lessons in customer service and basic common curtesy. San Francisco has so many spa choices. 77 Maiden Lane has a nation-wide reputation and frankly, besides the quality of pedicures offered there, I think it is all hype. There are much better salons for cuts and coloring.
