Not that great – I took my husband and neice out for B-day dinner something different...but not what I expected the service was not good when we got there was a line we stood outside for about 15 min. and when able to stand in the door way for another 15 min. They really need to expand the restaurant. The service was not good the waitress didn't get my order right but when we finally got our food 20 min. after we ordered I did not want to wait. Extremely disappointed and unsatisfied – We decided to try out the 5-8 club after we had gone to Matts the previous week. I cannot begin to describe what a terrible experience we had. To Go food not fresh and cold – Too long of a line outside, so we decided to call and order it to go. It was in the evening during their busy time, around 7:00PM. We were told it would be 20 minutes. We came back in 20 minutes. Wanted to start eating the food right away out in the car. Being so busy, we expected the food to be HOT from the kitchen. It was far from it. So yummy and quaint! – The 5-8 Club is one of my favorite places to eat in Minneapolis! Whenever I have someone visit from out of town, this is one of the places we take them to eat while they are here. The juicy lucy is actually the only thing I've ever eaten at the 5-8 Club! It's so amazingly good! The parking can be a little tricky, it's not a huge lot, and it's widely popular, but worth any wait you may have. It has a small town feel! I would for sure give it a try to decide for yourself!
Great Food, Terrible Service – Everyone there was so rushed - I don't know if they were understaffed, or if that is how it always is. The waitresses smiled and said the usual formalities, but they were so rushed that it was just fake. No one came to ask us how our food was. I hate leaving less than a 15% tip, but this service deserved it. I would not come back, even though the Juicy Lucy was amazing.
The 5 8 club has the Twin Cities best Juicy Lucy. The Best flavor, served in a basket and the price is definitely right.
Terrible Service – I was extremely excited to visit this place and try the juicy lucy, especially after I saw it on Man Vs. Food. We sat at the bar since it was too busy to find a table. The service was a complete joke. Took a while to get our order placed and waited for 50 minutes to get our food. The burger was good, but the fries were cold. The wait staff wasn't kind and seemed annoyed to be working. Won't go back again.
Heaven!! – This place is great! Great service but the place does fill up fast thanks to the Man V. Food visit two years ago. Their JL is heaven! Plus you have different cheese's to choose from. Plus they have a great menu of other items as well. Hope you like ur tap beer cold because it is! I will be back to this place for sure!
