disappointed – I'm a North side business owner and like to take my clients to nice places mostly on the West side. So I'm always looking for somewhere new near the beach. I guess I should have passed this one by instead of dropping $400.00 for dinner for 4. The French service was lacking to say the least. stop!!! Before you make a reservation – Three on Fourth not what I expected. We were excited to go because our friends reccomended it. They said they had a nice time, to order the toro and cod, and that the waitress they had was extremely knowledgable of the food and especially the wine. Wow!! Best restaurant in Santa Monica! – I took my parents to 3 on Fourth last night for dinner after I read all the great reviews on Citysearch, and WOW!! This place is fantastic! I had the sweet-potato fries, a gourmet cheeseburger, and the Maytag blue cheese, honeycomb dessert, all of which were scrumptious! My parents loved their fish dishes, as well. Half price wine night! – I really like this place the menu ranges across a number of different cuisines, food is above average, the wine list is varied and reasonably priced. Service is acceptable although a little slow on busy nights, the real kicker is Monday nights though, half price wine night, several bottles wind up selling for below retail.
Bad on so many levels – 1. Acoustics make the restaurant extremely noisy. 2. Food was brought out 90 minutes after we ordered - not even the appetizers. The excuse they gave was the kitchen got backed up with orders. The place was about 50% full at the time we ordered (4 of us). 3. The kitchen managed to mess up our orders. The tuna/ahi salad is horrendous - 2 big chunks of poor quality tuna in soy sauce and limp salad leaves. 4. No valet parking available. 5. Terribly overpriced for mediocre food. Food, Service, Wine***Best in Santa Monica – I've eaten here close to 15 times. I've never been dissapointed. Simply stated, the food is amazing, the service the best in town and the ambience just plain cool. I hear that they are opening for lunch soon; great news, can't wait!
Nothing to Lose and Everything to Gain for 3 on 4th – A first date and I decided to not wait for a table at the Boarder Grill. Throwing chance to the wind with nothing to lose, we stumbled across the street and into 3 on 4th. best fries,cod and salad – This is a great new place there is something for everyone. The small plates are great to share if you can part with any and you get to have alot of variety. The tuna salad was too good to share and the fries you can't stop eating. Tried alot of the dishes on menu nothing we didn't like and even ate dessert the poached pears were delicious. Best Burger In Town! – After trying a few really good fish dishes (the cod is really tasty), I decided to try the hamburger that everyone's been talking about. I'm not a big fan of red meat so I wasn't expecting to enjoy it but it was amazing! I've been dreaming of eating another hamburger at Three on Fourth since then. The French cheese, the wild boar bacon, everything about it is just delectable. Great atmosphere, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, it's perfect!
