Many great changes – I remember going to this place when it first opened about a year ago. They offered a menu with 3 separate sections: American, Japanese and French. I wasn't in love with the place, so I didn't go back. My friend who lives near there finally convinced me to give the place a second try about a week ago. I was pleasantly surprised. The food still has American, Japanese and French influences, but this time they don't try too hard to categorize it. The menu is now a lot smaller, divided into small, large and s... read more
TERRIBLE! – We should have left five minutes after we arrived! The atmosphere was too bright and too quiet. It felt weird... Then, the menu. The selections were minimal and a little too avant garde... nothing really looked that good. When our over-priced appetizer arrived, there were only 4 very small shrimp. Then, dinner. We both ordered $25 fish entrees. When our dinners arrived, we each had only 4 oz of fish and no side dish! Plus, the fish was way too salty! I felt like we were being cheated... where was our food? We lef... read more
Pleasantly surprised – I hope this place gets more business because I had a great experience there. Great food and great service. I got the veal chop and it was wonderful. The wines were great. I will defintely be back.
Something changed at this place, it went from 5 star to 1 star on my list – This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. Then something happened. They changed their menu and more than doubled their prices. They took out the good stuffs - Miso cod and their eggplant appetizers. the price do not justify the quality of the food, nor the portion that they give you. We used to bring groups of friends there, and celebrated birthdays, anniversaries there. Well, that's not going to happen anymore. What on earth happened???
never again – simply put, don't go it's a waste of time and good money. Lets see how long this will last. Something just does not fit here
Great restaurant in Santa Monica – Went for the first time after receiving a gift certicicate by email last week, I guess my wife had already gone and gave our email... Well I didn't think I could say that but I'm glad she did! I had the best meal I had in a long time, I had their River Salmon with some amazing mashed potatoes and roasted tomatoes. We had a great bottle of Reisling and left happy.
Santa Monica welcomes trendy tapas restaurant in the former Rocca space. – In Short Daniel Snukal, a former private chef and caterer, has created this luxe Westside space, which features a small plates menu influenced by three regions: America, Europe and Japan. Westside interior designer Lori Erenberg (La Brea Bakery) has crafted its modern supper club atmosphere, with banquettes and table seating in rich, dark woods, mohair and iridescent silk fabrics. Dishes include ginger and coriander shrimp, miso black cod, grilled pea... read more
If you like food, this is the place to go to – My husband and I love 3. We travel a lot to europe and we love food, this restaurant is truly comparable to restaurants you can find over there. We take our friends there as much as possible, The chef is very talented and we really like the diversity of the menu which makes pleasing any friend very easy. The service is professional but not pretentious. My husband loves beer and that was one of the reasons we first went there, their beer and wine selection is extensive. Their men... read more
BEST IN SANTA MONICA – My friends told me this place was a must and it is! The food is wonderful. The menu is extremely eclectic with small plates and large. This is a store front restaurant in Santa Monica with a very simple decor. Don't go if you're looking for the million dollar interior design with no interest in good food. This place is very New York with a focus on great food and service. I'll definately be back!
