Over half of the animals weren't out and the place was so poorly set up.... granted it's a free zoo so what can one really expect. It's ok for what it is.
I literally saw like 5 animals even the gift shop sucked. I love going to the zoo I did pay 30 for parking which was not worth it. I would say visit the Fort Wayne zoo before you decide to go to this one.
Had a great time yesterday! The zoo was quite crowded however my Lacey had fun! Will visit again !

It was a high quality zoo. Would have liked a team ride! My legs were hurting.
It was free, and I'm glad about that because I wouldn't pay money to go here. My boyfriend and I went and yes there was a lot of good animals, but they sure didn't look happy, or have nearly enough room. The big cats exhibit made me sick, all those poor animals in such small cages. And there was a guy there throwing trash at the lions, we told an employee, and nothing was done about it. We definitely won't be back.
I am just sorry it took me almost 8 years of living in the suburbs to get to this wonderful zoo! I really enjoyed it. It's a great size, you get to see lots of animals and learn a lot about them. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful grounds, many animals, friendly staff and very clean
This zoo is absolutely amazing and FREE. Love the indoor and outdoor exhibits and the nature trails as well. Only regret is that I did not have my kids with me
