We had an AMAZING time at this zoo! Being from Ohio where you definitely have to pay to see all the animals this free zoo was a treat with almost as many animals as the bigger zoos in our home areas. Very impressed with the knowlegdge and helpfulness of the entire staff!
The lion, tiger, giraffe, and polar bear must have had the day off. Second visit and I want to love it but it's really just okay. Its cool to see a rhino and a camel and a zebra in such a big city, but the animals don't have much room to move around. Perks for humans are that it's free, clean, and not necessarily an all-day event.
I'm still shocked its free admission & so many activities to do with your children. Scenic views of the city are beautiful . Close proximity of North Avenue Beach makes it day trip �.

We didn't make it thru the entire park, but majority of the animals weren't any where to be seen, and the trash cans stunk so bad I almost got sick every time we passed one. But I imagine if it's not so hot out maybe spring or fall we might try again and see if the animals are out.
I had a nice time enjoyed myself loved the gorillas even though alot of the animals weren't out
The bathrooms are never clean with all the camps coming through. Lots of wet floors. Otherwise love this zoo.
Very clean, animals seem content, and while it stunk to not be able to see them all the time, I liked that they had a choice as to where they wanted to be :)
well all i can say is there were not relly alot of animals to see why
