I would like to thank the staff at 1789 for the amazing job they did while I was trying to surprise my daughter and son in law with a Valentines /date night treat. I understand the food was excellent, service impeccable and they even left the small note I asked for. Thanks again for taking the extra steps to make this happen!
We had a great time during restaurant week! The service was spotless and the rib was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!
The waitstaff is absolutely exceptional. They had vast knowledge about the history of the the restaurant and its surrounding Georgetown area! The waiter explained the cut of short rib and the manner of how the check would be cooking it which was great! It was perfectly medium rare. Plating was excellent. All the way down to the positioning of the plates as they were sat in front of me and my guest. Great first experience. I plan to visit again!
The service is as amazing. Loved it. The portions were small, but they were delicious.
The food was incredible! However, our dining location in a side room with our party of five placed us in the kitchen cross traffic. Constant dodging of the wait staff was a distraction from our Christmas celebration. It appeared that a large private party displaced us from the main dining area. A bit of a disappointment.
