The decor, service and food was fabulous. We went on Easter Sunday for their brunch menu. My wife's appetizer was the Hamakua Farms Hearts of Palm with baby arugula, parmigiano-reggiano and fried shallots. Her main course was the Duck with fermented turnips, watermelon radish, rutabaga hash, house-made ricotta and walnut truffle. I have been dinning her since the 70s and have never been the least bit disappointed in either the service, or the meals. On a 1 to 10 scale I give it a 100. I will be going back on my next trip to Washington DC. 1789, is located in old Georgetown on 36th. The building dates back to 1789, that's how it got its name. The ambiance is wonderful. My friend and I had drinks at the bar before dinner somewhere else. Frank was a delight and the antique carved bar set a great atmosphere.
