Won't even call back. – I've never been to Zulu Tattoo and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I left several messages to make an appointment and I never received a call back. Their work might be good, but I wouldn't know because their customer service is terrible.
The only place to get inked in Los Angeles! – My fiance and I both got inked by Lantz recently. The final product was amazing. Lantz took his time with the both of us making sure we got exactly what we wanted. He emailed versions of the tattoos back and forth for approval. This is not an "old-school" tattoo shop. Both Lantz and Zulu are friendly, approachable and respectful. I'm definitely going back to Lantz for more work.
Not just an Ink, a spiritual event – Zulu's artistry isn't limited to the image that he paints into the skin. It is very much a spiritual even that can mark your spirit as he weaves the web of lines upon your skin.
What a shop! – I can't say enough about this shop. First off the customer service is top notch, Khani-Jo is always great to talk to when scheduling an appointment. Secondly, the artists (Lantz and Zulu) are I feel two of the mosted talanted artists in Los Angeles. I have had 8 tattoos from Lantz (and one form Zulu) and are exactly what I wanted. Nothing short of amazing! – This place is simply the best! My husband & I got tattooed together for our 5-yr anniversary a couple of years back, and we're so lucky to have found this place. We were working out a 'kanji' with a Japanese calligraphy artist who had previously had his beautiful artwork immortalized by Zulu; he recommended Zulu as the best tattoo artist in L.A. Great Experience – Very talented artist. All work is custom, shop is neat and clean. Overall atmosphere was relaxing and peacefull. Treats clients with respect really works hard to find the design that is right for you. I love the piece he did for me. Highly recommended!!!
Worth my years of waiting to do a cover up ... – Saw Zulu on news piece on KCAL9 over year ago. In my younger days, I got a hedious "last name" tat on upper arm. For years I wanted it covered with something unique to me. Once I saw Zulu, I automatically knew I found the right person. No Where Else – I waited almost 30 years to get my first tattoo, and there was no question or hesitation when I made the decision. The design, a West African Adinkra symbol meaning "Grace of God" or "By God's Grace", was also reached with no hesitation.
