Zippity do ha ...my oh my what a wonderful place – After running through a list of possible destination for sushi, we decided on Zip Fusion.Part convenience (It is located nearby in the artist district in downtown), part good ratings...we decided to give it a try. We sat in the patio which had a great ambiance and felt very comfortable. The service was efficient and friendly, we never felt like we had to flag down our server or wait for drinks, nor were we rushed. The sushi was delicious, 3 types of tuna were tasty and fresh... read more

Beware misleading prices, bad service. – Although the restaurant is nice and the food is okay, the service is horrible. In Los Angeles there are many other restaurants that taste better, have cheaper prices, and better service. Additionally, the menu is deceiving. Under happy hour from monday-friday 5-7, it is listed that cold/hot apetizers are 1/2 off. However, items from the sushi kitchen listed under this category, cold/hot apetizers are not included. This restaurant FALSELY advertises without any written or spoken explan... read more

Great fusion sushi – Went last night, after several visits, and this was the best yet. Tried the Cozy Shrimp appetizer - fantastic! Gyoza wrappers are wrapped around shrimp and then deep fried. And the Lobster roll was sensational - little bits of lobster in a saute of onions and other vegetables, served over a California roll.

Pricey but okay – Food is a little pricey, portions are kind of small. Drinks are good. The one on Sawtelle has karaoke which is a draw for parties.

Superb Overall – It's hard to pick out any one thing about Zip Fusion that makes it great, but only because everything is extremely good. The atmosphere is wonderful (sit outside, but make reservations to do so), the California rolls are some of the best I've had, although R-23, which is close in proximity has overall better sushi, the service is good and relatively quick, and everything on the menu is excellent, all for fairly reasonable prices. Overall, Zip Fusion is a wonderful experience with great food and great ambianc... read more

Alba-Cado & Shrimp Ravioli – My boyfriend and I go here often and we always get Alba-Cado and Shrimp Ravioli. Both very yum. The Shrimp Ravioli has a creamy sauce, so it's great to share with something else. The Alba-Cado is this avocado ball wrapped around Albacore. (you'll probably need to order more than this for two) The tuna salad is also very good. Cute ambience on the patio, a place you should try once and will probably crave every so often. Also has lots of interesting sushi rolls that I haven't tried yet because we ... read more

BEST HOUSE SAKE – I actually crave their cold house sake... mmm. The specialty here is the wide selection of Fusion rolls. My boyfriend prefers the ones with cream cheese, but I'm more of a traditional sushi lover. Gimme Gimme fresh sake and hamachi nigiri any day... The patio is filled with cute small tables (but can accommodate larger parties) and christmas lights make it romantic and charming. Try the specials of the day, I once had an amazing blue fin tuna (sashimi) served on a block of ice! (hurt my teeth but tasted the... read more

Fusion Delight! – This is a charming restaurant on the eastside of downtown. Great place to meet for lunch - business or pleasure! They offer valet parking and will seat you fairly quickly. It's your typical fusion style restaurant, and every dish I've tried has been creative and delicious. There is a nice outdoor patio in the back, shaded by umbrellas and lovely bougainvillea. Staff are friendly and attentive. A gift certificate to this restaurant would be well appreciated by just about anyone!
