I was sold a $10.000 1.1cr diamond ring (good color and clarity according to their own "certificate"...... ) Turns out to be an "artificially enhanced very poor quality stone worth max.$1000 according to Antwerp World Diamond Center. ( they asked me if I enjoyed being taken up the a$$) I decided to put this to the test after a few other stories that had come to me and it turn out to be true. I am aware buying a diamond is largely a trust issue for a non expert but this really makes me sad.
I have to give a shout out to Emily at the Zales Outlet in Carlsbad, California. She has helped me the last two times I have needed to have a warranty repair done on my wedding set. This time the center stone on my engagement ring was just the tiniest bit loose. Since I leave to go out of the country in a week, she took the time to reach out to their jeweler to be sure he could fix my ring before I leave. I can not tell you how much I appreciate her help. If you shop at the Carlsbad outlet store, ask for Emily!!!!!
