The worst experience I have had there. It was my Birthday and went there for surf and turf on lobster night. They were out of lobster. Then they ran out of wine too. They were understaffed with only one waiter. He did a great job considering how many tables he was working at one time. But he should have had help. None of the issues were his fault just really poor management all around.
It is with great sadness that I must report that after 35 years of patronage we won't return. Last year we were disappointed in our meal, but we thought we would give it one more chance. It was worse. It was not hard to see why there were so few patrons on a Saturday night. The deterioration is shocking. The pace of the meal was awful, considering that there were so few people. Best steak in the world. The filet with crabmeat and mushrooms are my favorite along with a JD Old Fashion.
Food was outstanding, as usual. But, it took way too long, to get our food. We were there 3 hours! Server didn't even tell us anything, we finally had to ask, really thought they forgot about us.
This place is absolutely horrible. They don't even know the difference between a ribeye and a strip. Our grill shrimp came out practically raw and the fish was overcooked. I ordered a grasshopper drink and it came out white. Everybody knows grasshoppers are made with green cream DeMent. I will never go to Young's in Slidell which is not affiliated with Young's in Madisonville in anyway
Service slow. Low food quality and lack presentation. Pitiful menu choices. Way too expensive for what you're getting. Will never go there again
