The experience was excellent. Service was great. The venison wraps were awesome. Steak was perfect and my date said her steak was the best she had ever had. The only reason I rated it 4 stars was because my baked potato was lukewarm. $9 charge for a baked potato that should not have happened.
The meal was OK, that was about it. We had a great waiter, but the steak was just OK and nothing to write home about. We have been many times before and the food seemed much better in the past. The bread pudding was very bland.
Buffalo filet was the bomb! Quail as an appetizer was great!

I was impressed with the wait staff. Very very attentive. The room was very uncomfortably hot but it was cold outside so they probably were keeping it warm because of that. The sides were delicious. I was very disappointed with the steaks . I ordered a medium rare filet and when I got it was served very rare . My husbands ribeye was also supposed to be medium rare but it was over cooked and medium . I asked to have my 30 dollar steak to be cooked longer. Fantastic atmosphere and hospitality that one expects from Texas. The rib eye.... out of this world... and if you are of age, Grandmas Shotgun is a very easy to down adult beverage!! Love this place.
