Dr. Yip is a wonderful doctor and surgeon. I was very concerned about having the parathyroid surgery because I was concerned my voice would not be the same afterwards. Although the surgery was supposed to last for only 1.5 hours, it took her 3 hours because there was a lot of scaring and wrapping around my vocal cords. Dr. Yip was an awesome surgeon. Very personable and willing to answer all questions. She is kind and cares. You can tell because of her eye contact. I will recommend her to anyone. Sad that it will be six months until I see her again. Explained in detail.
Dr. Yip is amazing! She is caring, compassionate, and her bedside manner is wonderful! She performed my surgery, and was more attentive than any other doctor I have been to for a surgical procedure. She put me at ease with what I was dealing with.
Dr. Yip removed half of my husband's thyroid due to a cancerous nodule. She was amazing. Never rushed us, answered every question we had, and was very caring and compassionate. I would highly recommend her.
Dr. Yip is amazing. She is well spoken, compassionate and has a fantastic bedside manner. She completed my thyroidectomy and I couldn’t have been in better hands. Her office staff is pleasant, kind and extremely helpful. Highly recommend.
Dr. Yip was rude and argued about everything I had to say and told me things I knew was not true about parathyroidism. She maybe good at other conditions but I would not trust her with a parathyroidectomy.

Dr. Yip and her entire staff are amazing. I struggled with deciding whether or not to have my thyroid removed, but as soon as I met Dr. Yip I knew. She was professional, personable and took her time to explain the process, recovery and answered all of my questions. I had a question on my pre-op blood work and she called me personally on a Saturday to review the results with me!
Dr Yip did a surgery for my daughter at UPMC in June of this year. From the moment she started talking to us we felt at ease. She spoke professionally yet made everything so clear to us and alleviated our anxiousness. She is a very caring doctor and her experience meant my daughter was in excellent hands. Even after the surgery she came out to reassure us and explained all that she did. We felt That human touch added to her professionalism and we appreciated her even more
