In 1948, Wellie Yaple Senior started with the Hoover Company selling vacuums door to door. Yaple's Vacuum was born in 1957 when this family-owned business opened their doors on 23rd and French Streets to the first customer. In 1962 it became Yaple's Sewing and Vacuum Center as the wonderful world of sewing machines was added. The business moved to West 26th and Liberty Street in 1976 due to a major fire at the original location. I have an older sewing machine that I needed a part for. I didn’t even know what it was called. I spoke to Lars who figured out what part I needed, and that it might be difficult to find the right fit for my specific machine. I brought it in and he checked parts against it until he found one. He gave my machine an adjustment and gave me a much needed lesson on how to operate it! All this was very inexpensive. I will definitely go back for future service!
My 20 yr old Sebo vacuum cord was chewed by my puppy and I brought vacuum to the West 12 store on Saturday and had them replace the cord and requested them to clean/polish up vacuum package. Received my vacuum back the following Monday, all is good.
Yaple's renovated my 25 year old Kirby and it hasn't worked this good since it was brand new! It's like a brand new machine, lots of power and the repair bill was very reasonable. Yaple's also fixed my steam cleaner. I would recommend Yaple's to anyone😃
