Our daughter suffered oxygen loss during birth which in turn caused brain damage and seizures. This was the hardest thing my husband and I have been through. Seeing our newborn go through so much. Two people in particular made this time a little more bearable. Nurses Megan R. & Joanie are true angels on earth!! These two nurses just went above and beyond in every way. They involved us in Kinsley’s care as much as possible. They kept us hopeful and encouraged us. The love they showed towards Kinsley amazed us. She wasn’t just... read more
Our newborn son was in the hospital this past week for seizures. It has been a very stressful time spent here. We can not thank the staff enough for everything they have done. Between the ED, NICU, and PICU your staff is truly phenomenal. I have the upmost respect for people who took care of our son. It's time you should let your staff park here for free!!!!
What an AWFUL experience for our son and family. I guess when you stand up for your child’s rights to proper medical care Yale calls in the New Have Police a Department. An hour and a half to get fresh bedding. 30 minutes to get a bottle. Doctors completely dismissing our concerns and requests. Then sending in an ENT doctor who had NO clue what to do. Did not even introduce himself properly. Had NO idea what the proper treatment was and suggested putting him back on the antibiotic that caused his stomach virus and put him in... read more
The excellent NICU staff at YNHCH are doing God's work. They are His hands. I will always be grateful for the love & tenderness they bring to the exercise of their skills in treating our twin preemie grand babies.
Our regular pediatrician: “bring her to Yale hospital. I’m just concerned she might be dehydrated. I’d like them to do a scan on her stomach”. Me: relays this information to Yale children’s ER physician. Yale: pushes hands around on her stomach, says “she just peed in the bathroom so she must not be dehydrated. Here’s your release papers”. I wish I was kidding. Way to go, Yale!
The doctors, nurses and ENTIRE support staff at Yale's Children's hospital are top notch! They have made this week truly as stress-free and comforting as it could possibly be! They communicated at all times and made sure we understood every move that was being made. There was not ONE moment I questioned whether we were in the correct place, or not! They clearly had my son's best interest (as well as mine and My daughter's) in mind at ALL times! I will be forever grateful for their care and attention throughout this ordeal!
Fantastic service I was extremely pleased on our visit today
