Delivering a baby over a 24 hour period is nerve racking.. shifts change and the people you've grown comfortable with go home and new staff comes in. With our first pregnancy we truly didnt know what to expect. But Here at Yale every shift of workers, every facet of the process, and every person we came in contact with from the cafe workers to the doctors were EXCEPTIONAL!!! Our four year old son had eye surgery at Yale yesterday. We were nervous, as we had a less than ideal experience for his first surgery at another hospital. The front desk staff, nurses & doctors were just AMAZING, kind & compassionate. The PACU was clean and well-organized. Each person we spoke with went above & beyond to ensure that our family was both comfortable and actively involved in the plan for our son's anesthesia, recovery and postoperative period. The RN's and PCA's at Yale's PICU were GREAT . I am very Thankful for them all, especially "Auntie" Allison, Nurse Kate and Sid. They went above and Beyond for Me and my Lil Monster Royalty ... if there were 10 stars I'd rate Yale PICU a 20 ")
