This place is abysmal! Management and staff are rude, unprofessional, dismissive and constantly pressuring you to spend more money. Sinks are constantly broken, as is the one water fountain serving the entire gym. Elevators are perpetually broken down, and the gym is on the 5th floor. Gym has been closed since March and have not addressed any possibilities of reopening, though I was just charged $49.95 for my membership to a gym that’s not operating.
Unprofessional and unorganized. They had to close in March which of course I understand. Illinois allowed gyms to reopen in June. While I also understand if you don’t feel safe reopening you shouldn’t. It’s the lack of communication and professionalism why this gym sucks. They haven’t said anything about reopening or why they’re staying closed. I canceled my membership and switched to a better managed gym.
Gym won’t address reopening. They also continue to charge us even though we can’t use the facility.
Due to the pandemic, I have decided to cancel my membership. I cancelled it online or at least I thought I did. This month I got a bill from xsport even though they are closed. To cancel it asks for a delivered certified letter..... this is unacceptable for such a large company. They are making it difficult for members and are charging them even though we can’t use the gym. I’m very disappointed and will be using a different gym when gyms reopen.
worst location in Chicago Belmont and Central, it really wasn't no reason to even open. the butterfly and leg press machines are disabled and lock with heavy-duty cable ties. Hardly any disinfectant spray bottles around. Planet Fitness provide each member their own personal disinfectant spray bottle. the place is filthy. even the lockers are unavailable you have no place to put your belongings.
RecommendedI come very early morning before work 3-4 a.m. The young man on duty is always very kind and courteous. Plenty of free weights and machines and cardio equipment!
