The worst, I ignored the bad reviews when I first joined and I regret it immensely. Join a different gym. Definitely don’t give them your debt or credit card information. The best advice someone gave me was to buy a prepaid Visa card and use that to pay for the membership. Because when you need to cancel (moving, lost your job, just don’t go to the gym anymore). Was a member there for five years and finally came to realize that they didn’t improve and they were so on organized.
They make it very difficult to talk to customer service. they take your money in person but then quick to tell you to contact customer service who either never answers or when they answer they hang up on you. I wanted to keep my membership but get my personal Training deposit back because the trainer I only signed up for isn't coming back. I made it very clear when I signed up that maritza was the only trainer I wanted to work with which I never even got the chance to do because of covid. Try being more responsive to inquiries and being transparent about your reopening plans (if any). You can't expect people to want to do business with your company when you're ignoring your customers requests and not answering calls.
I have never been one to go to Facebook to complain but it seems I have no other choice. I was charged and not warned about the gym's reopening recently. I have been trying for days to put a freeze and, after some frustration, now cancel my membership because of how complicated and misleading this is. They just charge your card even though they aren’t open for business. No online dispute or cancel process. They want you to come in person, during a pandemic, to cancel what they shouldn’t have charged you.
