About this business

This low-key Rick Bayless eatery is inspired by Mexican street taco stands. Bayless serves up creative tortas, sandwiches, and a number of caldos (soups), sure to warm anyone up on a cold winter day. The pozole is a healthier take on the traditional dish. The pozole is made with chicken instead of pork, and though it is usually served on weekends at most Mexican eateries, here it's served here daily. This is one of my favorite lunch spots in Chicago. My wife and I even ate dinner here right after I proposed! We love it.

Good food, but too crowded. No room to be comfortable and enjoy the food.

I have wanted to go to Xoco for about 2 years. All I can say is OMG it was worth the wait. I live in Mi and do not get to Chicago much. The Torta was great the fully dressed GUACAMOLE is to die for but the churros and dipping chocolate was way over the top what a GREAT way to spend a sunny afternoon
