My wife and I have been using Word Dermatology for almost two years. On this last visit to the Midlothian office the front desk employee Jan, was extremely rude to her when she checked in and told her she didn’t have an updated referral in the file. Referrals expire which is understandable but my wife called the day before to confirm her appointment and ask if there was anything she needed to bring and they never mentioned an expired referral. Call them two times after getting a referral per my doctors advice. It’s time I was basically told, don’t call us. We’ll call you. After a week and a half I called again and was told it was being processed. Finally on the third phone call and 4 weeks later I was told they just received it on the fax machine that day. It would be processed and it will take at least two weeks. The lady that took the call was absolutely the rudest person I’ve ever spoke with. I was able to get on the cancelation list and was seen 2 days later instead of 3 months as originally told. Dr. Word was very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions I had. I go back in 6 weeks for my checkup. I highly recommend using this doctor. I will let you know if anything changes after my next visit.
Family has been going to Dr. Word for years. I went as a new patient and saw his P.A. Michelle. After a thorough exam, some small issues were addressed & something that has plagued me for years was diagnosed & I was given some Rx. For days later & I am already seeing results. Very happy with my experience!
He is a wonderful and kind doctor that is so helpful in getting the problems settled. I would highly recommend him!!

Dr. Word and his staff are always so friendly and welcoming. They truly make you feel comfortable. You can tell he enjoys his job!
