I am sadlly disappointed. Before I begin this review, please note that this is not an irrational tirade against Woodstock. I am simply telling you my experience from which you may draw your own conclusions. I contacted veterinary clinics in the Lexington area and found that the average cost was around ~$75. This was fine, given that every place is a for-profit institution. Then, I contacted Woodstock and discovered that they provided the spaye for the same price and included a few additional shots with the surgery. Upon arri... read more

woodstock clinic well, if they would answer the phone, i could review better. all i know is, i am low income and was told this would be the place to take my sick kitty. problem is, have been calling and leaving messages for 2 weeks with no reply. the reason i keep calling them is because i do not have $300 to fork over to a vet!!! i am handicapped and that is almost half of my monthly income. i guess they don't want to deal with a sick kitty or care. i'm assuming that they just don't care because they've never bothered to ca... read more
Take it from someone who used to work there I used to volunteer then work at Woodstock many years ago. Yes the receptionist can be gruff but she has a heart of gold & has more compassion for the animals than she does for humans...you tend to become this way after seeing how the animals are treated from their owners.
Woodstock is Wonderful! I've been going to Woodstock for years. The people there are great. They are cheap and your animal is never harmed or mistreated. The vet is very professional. If you have a problem with the people who work there, look at it from their perspective. This is a non-fund organization. The ladies that work there do not get paid for what they do. They do this completely out of the kindness of their hearts. If your dog is 100 pounds (Mary), well yea its going to be hard to get them in their cage. You can't b... read more
My Puppy! I went to Woodstock with my 3 month old Chihuahua/Jack Russel Mix puppy. The first set of shots and dewormer and everything went real well and they were real nice. The next time that I went was a couple of weeks ago when he was due for his yearly shots and rabies shots-well, the Vet did well with it...but come to find out my puppy has developed a lump where the injection site is and I seen that on the internet that some Vets can give too much to a puppy for a rabies shot and it could be fatal and that the lump coul... read more
If you care about your pet, do NOT go to Woodstock! Please think twice before trying to save a few bucks on your pet's spay or neuter! It's not worth the worry of how your pet will be treated before their surgery. My experience at Woodstock Spay and Neuter Clinic was HORRIBLE from start to finish!!!I was not greeted by the receptionist at all when I showed up for my dog's neuter appointment. She was very short and snippy and only asked "Do you have an appointment!?" She took my dog back to weigh him while I started filling o... read more
Spay/Neuter This is more of a question than review. I have recently adopted a 3 year old male shih tzu. So far he's ok but for the last few days,he's been acting strange with my son. They told me to have him neutered/spayed. What's the difference between the two?
Woodstock All I want to say is that Woodstock is a great program. The vets working on your animal??s voluntary their time there. I have a problem with someone getting on here trashing what Woodstock is doing. The price vets charges are ridiculous it??s money in their pocket. Before I found Woodstock I went to a local vet clinic for my 8lb Yorkie??s shots. Every time I was there it was never under $80.00 most of the time it was more. It was not a glamorous vet office just an everyday vet that has been here for many, many year... read more
