For such a “high class” “top tier” restaurant, this was truly disappointing. Tell them to move the valet booth back to the front of the door instead of in the parking lot where the cars will be parked anyways. Then you will charge for even the bread? The fried oysters had way too much breading on them, and the time from when the appetizers were served to when the entrees arrived was about an HOUR. RecommendedThank you for a lovely birthday brunch for myself and the family. The hostess had our reservation, and was ready for us. Loved the pressed coffee, baked goods plate, bacon and my Pork belly, eggs and English muffin. Everyone in our group of 10 got served in a timely manner, and the wait staff was attentive to our needs. Being farm to table, and locally sourced, there was no orange juice, which was missed by a few at our table.
The service was great...and the food was okay for a farm to table, but certainly not worth the price we paid. At $300 for four people, that's twice what I pay at my regular farm to table restaurants (of comparable and higher quality food) that are located in safer, nicer parts of DC. It was a little disappointing to see the print menu versus the more varied online menu that makes the restaurant look not as insanely expensive.
