Been going to Wintzell's all my life ! They have like 12 of them now , but my favorite is the original one Downtown . You can just feel the history in that old building , and the food and service is second to none !! Love it !!!
We went on a random Thursday night and it was packed. We were seated quickly, but the table was in the bar area and it was really loud. Im not complaining though; people were having a great time and enjoying themselves. Our server came right over to get our drink orders. Our food was hot and fresh when it came out and everything was delicious! We didn't even need a to-go box---we ate it all! Our server, I think her name was Nay Nay, was awesome! She was funny, personable, and worked her tail off. We'll definitely go again.

We love stopping at Winzell's Oyster House on our drive from Florida to Colorado. Oysters and gumbo are amazing. This time we tried the bread pudding " Kings Cake" and won a $50 gift card. Woohoo. Thank you Winzell's.
We were in for the weekend to watch the MOT parade my daughter was marching in. We showed up Friday night and was told to seat ourselves so we did. We sat for a good twenty minutes and was never even asked what we'd like to drink so we left. Being that we weren't driving all weekend, we wanted to just walk and there weren't any other oyster restaurants walking distance so we figured Saturday night we'd go back and give it another try. Nice fresh oysters and friendly bar staff. Good cold beer selection.
My go to place for Oysters, killer Bloody Mary's, Service is great.Every Parade during Mardi Gras were here.
