Dr Shoemaker is a very thorough and caring doctor. My husband and I have been going to him for several years. He always explains his diagnosis fully. He makes sure to follow up to make sure all routine appts are completed, such as dental, mammogram, eye and colonoscopy. He makes sure that when your appointment is completed that he has answered all of your concerns.
Of all the doctors I have seen in the past 9 years,he is the best.He's thorough.....so if you DON'T want a good exam or help in resolving issues...go to someone else,he's not your man.IF you want to be pro-active in your health care,or have someone that WILL listen to you,then he's the man.His referrals to speciality doctors have been SPOT ON. I've never been disappointed in any of his referrals.

Dr. Shoemaker is a caring internist who spends a considerable amount time with his patients. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Shoemaker spends the appropriate amount of time during my visits. Additionally he always provides good information regarding any concerns I may have, I always leave his office feeling good about my visit.
He spends more time with me then any other Dr. that I have been to in the past. In great detail he explains to me all my lab results and why a certain medication would be better to take then other medications. He also has a great disposition and his staff is very friendly too.

He takes the time to listen to you. Recently was in a car accident and needed advice from him outside office hours. They listened to what was going on and got him on the phone right then. He then called me on Christmas Eve to see how I was doing. Have not had this level of care since I was a kid.
