Great hostess, Horrible service – I was very disappointed wasting my money on such poor service and food. My friend and I went to the Wild Onion to grab a bite to eat one evening and had a horrible experience! The hostess was very accomodating from the moment we walked in the door, actually better than the waitress! We had three different waitresses trying to wait on us but all who fell through. Wait Staff – The waitresses were very pushy and weren't friendly AT ALL. We were celebrating a birthday and whenever we would make a request, the waitress would do the exact opposite. I felt very embarrassed actually. The servers were not very accommodating. For being a "Birthday House" it wasn't very happy.
Terrible Bar/Restaurant – Please do not throw your hard-earned beer money down the drain at this St. Paul restaurant/nightspot. Its a place I have given MANY chances because of the convenient location. However, each time I have been sorely disappointed. The food is nothing special and the staff is dim. The men are often approaching creepy status and the music is taken directly from your wedding dj's playlist. With so many possibilities in the Twin Cities it would be in your best interest to go somewhere else.

terrible dj_ embarrassing – don't go here. the dj is an always will be a piece with his head stuck up his but. maybe that's why he can't hear the terrible music that's he's playing. embarrassing. we went to this spot a couple of times and had a good time when the dj was decent. however, more often then not, the dj has been terrible. the place is great when the dj sticks to the tops songs, but too many times the dj has just ruined the night by playing irrelevant garbage. i have never seen a dj clear the dance floor so quickly... read more
September 20th 2008 Sick SMELL EVERYWHERE- – We went to the Wild Onion on Saturday Night (09/20/08) and I am so curious how a somewhat of an upper scale bar/restaurant would have smelled so strongly of Sickness! The smell started right after walking past the person that took our cover and continued around the ENTIRE main bar and all the way back to the ATM machine. Always a good time – While the drinks can be a bit spendy at times, we always have a great time. Small place, gets a little sweaty on the dance floor. I have never had any bad service at the Onion, considering I dont go there to socialize with the staff.
Watch Out for the Witch In the Back Bar.... – I have never had a more horrible experience with service. I was degraded and insulted by a bartender because of their dislike for another person.
Food ick, staff ok. – While everyone in the restaurant was staring at the television.... I got the fish sandwich and it tasted like they just put a dead with with some lettuce on a bun. Then my friend gave me some of her pasta and it was so sweet I could not swallow it. My friends liked it but for me a big N O!
