Specialties So what is this place all about? We still recall the day a number of years ago when a table of rambunctious regulars proclaimed, "We have voted Wild Abandon the most unpretentious restaurant in Portland!" That's a title we live up to every day. In short, we're a super casual neighborhood spot with great drinks, killer eats, and a staff that's excited to share them with you. Our menu includes lots of comfort food and casual fare with international flair, and we offer plenty of options for people with all different... read more

A perfect 'date' place Even though we are married w/ 2 kids, when it's time for 'date night' we still head to our favorite 'date' place, Wild Abandon. Very unassuming from the outside. Kind of dive looking but still makes you wonder what is inside. It's been there for at least 10 years..that's when my boyfriend, now husband, first brought me there. Wonderful homemade noveau cuisine. Homemade ravioli and other pasta, dessert to die for and an incredible ambience. The chef/ owner also serves as wait staff.
Great Neighborhood Restaurant Wild Abandon is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. I usually go for brunch or lunch. It's usually busy on the weekends, but a real treat if you can get a table. I love their salads - fresh ingredients and very tasty!
A great menu A wonderful place to eat that is not too expensive. intimate and small but a lovelyy atmosphere and a fun place to meet to discuss and solve all the problems in the world
Outdoor Happy Hour Besides having a cutting-edge menu to accommodate Portland's vanguard taste buds, Wild Abandon is a very affordable way to enjoy an early evening. Wild Abandon's happy hour menu includes great cheap eats and drinks from 4:30pm-6:30pm on weekdays minus Tuesdays. Best way to go is with a friend, chicken skewer, and a carafe of their Sangria. It'll cost you as much as a Pabst and fries at any dive bar. PROS: Price! Quality! Patio! CONS:
After a terrible experience at Juniors, the lovely staff at Wild Abandon saved my birthday brunch by being polite, accommodating and serving me delicious, creative and affordable food. Love this place.
Mundane, Pricey Food Served by a Kind, Polite Waiter – First I'll start off by saying that the waiter was very kind, and the atmosphere here is very cozy and somewhat romantic. This was our second time here, going on a strong recommendation from our friends. The first time we went, we were underwhelmed, but we thought we'd give it a second chance. Well, the second outing was equally as unimpressive. It is not as thought the food is bad, it just isn't good. Some other reviewer questioned whether any of the people giving this ... read more
Very very slow! – My 3 friends and I went to eat at Wild Abandon on a recommendation from a friend, but she did mention the service was bad. We thought we would give it a try anyway. Yikes, she wasn't kidding. We sat inside while waiting for a patio table and realized it smelled like dirty wet towels. Gross! We asked to order drinks while we waited and were told a bus boy might get to us. Finally a waiter came to take our drink orders. My husband asked about the merlot and the waiter smugly said he didn't drink merlots by ch... read more
